Large Tiger Sharks, Great White Sharks, and Bull Sharks are usually the types of sharks that attack humans.

There have already been 29 unprovoked shark attacks in the world as of 2015. 14 of the attacks were in the U.S.! Most of these shark attacks have been known to occur less than 100 feet from shore.

What to Do if Attacked
The best thing to do when attacked by a shark is to hit it on the nose. If your hit is unsuccessful, try clawing at its eyes and gills.

Why Do Sharks Attack?

Coldest Places to Live on Earth

Rogers pass –  Montana, USA
Rogers pass sits 5610 feet above sea level, it is located in the state of Montana, in United States. A low temperature of -70F was recorded at that location on January 20th of 1954.

Fort Selkirk –  Yukon, Canada
In 1950 this location was deserted because of the extreme cold conditions. It was a former trading post on the Yukon River. It is not inhabited again but with no road access. Visitors can only get here by boat or plane. Coldest month is January with mostly temperature being at -70F

Prospect Creek – Alaska, USA
Approximately 180 miles North of Fairbanks, Prospect Creek is a very small settlement. Weather is sub arctic at this location which means winters last a long period of time with summers being very short. Because of the extreme cold conditions this place is getting less and less crowded.

Snag – Yukon, Canada
Snag is actually a village. It is located on a small, dry weather side road off of the Alaska highway, about 25 kilometers south of Beaver Creek. The coldest month for this location is January with temperatures being -81F. Chilly and freezing!

Eismitte – Greenland
The name of this location means Ice-Center in German. It is located in the interior Arctic side of Greenland. It literally has ice just about everywhere therefore nicknames such as Mid-Ice or Center-Ice are used for it.

North Ice – Greenland
This location is the fifth coldest place in the entire world. It was a research station for the British North England Expedition. Temperatures are the coldest here, with an average of between -86F to -68F.

Verkhoyansk – Russia
This location is known for having the greatest difference in temperatures between summer and winter. In 1892, the coldest temperature was recorded here which was -93F

Oymyakon – Russia
The ground in this location is permanently frozen. This location has an extreme subarctic climate. The lowest temperature on Earth was recorded at this location in 1924, which was -96F, by a Russian scientist named Sergey Obruchev.

Plateau Station – Antartica
This is the second most coldest place on earth after Vostok. The coldest month is in July with temperatures being recorded at right around -119F. An inactive American research and is housed at this location.

The coldest month in Vostok is August. Vostok Station is a Russian Antarctic research station. The ground is covered with ice most of the year.

The Jordan River provides cool waters that the locals use to cool themselves. Tirat Zvi has the highest recorded temperature ever in Asia.
